Hi, so my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer yesterday. Diagnosis is from a recent CT scan as they couldn't do a biopsy due to not being in great health (COPD). So type of lung cancer is unknown.
They have said that she won't be offered any treatment at all and will be no follow up scans or appointments, I was advised to contact palliative care when needed.
My concern here is that the professionals are writing her off from the get go, on doing my research surely they would offer immunotherapy at the very least?
Any ideas or thoughts on how to navigate this journey are greatly welcome. X
