My dad was diagnosed a few weeks ago with throat cancer. He was told stage 2 and he would have 4 weeks radiotherapy.
Just before treatment they have checked the MRI again and said it is much worse than they thought and is in the parragliotic space. He therefore needs 6 weeks of radiotherapy as well as chemo.
Has anyone been though similar a experience/know someone who has been through this?
Hi Lizzie123 This forum isn’t so busy but the head and neck cancer one is. There are lots of us who have had six weeks RT and are doing really well. I had six weeks for base of ttongue cancer and I’m coming up to eight years clear. The back of the tongue is pretty close to the glottis and para glottis so the effects would largely be the same. Copy your post over to the other group. There’s lots of help there
