Hi all, wasn’t the good news I expected unfortunately. The immunotherapy didn’t work so that will be stopped. The ct scan also showed 2 small legions in my lungs so the cancer is getting worse. My oncologist has suggested I try the tablet cabozantinib, to read up on it and I am to decide if I want to start treatment on that. I’m thinking I may as well try anything at this stage. So onto next stage of treatment.
I'm really sorry that you're having to face this. I am going for my first CT scan on Saturday after nephrectomy October 2020. They have brought it forward because I have some persistent pain. Anxiety is hard to cope with. I hope they find a drug that works for you. Best wishes, Mags
Thanks mags, I hope your results are more positive than mine were. They do have lots of different types of treatments to try, so hopefully one of them will work for both of us. I didn’t have my kidney operated on as I have mets in my bones (top of leg and shoulder ) which made it inoperable. It’s the waiting for the results I find the worse part. Let me know how it goes and wishing you luck. Rose x
