Any Tips to be Strong
Hi 2 Dimensions.
I am so sorry to hear about your partner. You have so much going on at the moment, and when you add covid and the restrictions to it, it makes it so much worse.
Losing your job is very stressfull. My partner lost his job a couple of years ago, and he became very depressed, because he said it is the mans job to go to work to provide for his family, and he felt with that being taken away from him, he said he felt like he had lost his purpose in life. It was very distressing to see him like this. Thankfully he has work again, but it was avery difficult time for us. Because of the pandemic, it is a very difficult time to be out there actively seeking work. Like you said there are so many people applying for the same job. I don't know what impact this has had on your financial situation, but to take the pressure off, you may want to speak to one of our financial experts HERE or you can speak to someone at the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 00 00
Looking after a loved one can be extremely stressful, and one way to cope with this is to speak to other people who are in the same situation as yourself. You can join the Friends and family forum which is a very supportive group for people who are going through a similar journey to yourself.
I wish you and your partner all the very best.
