Hi all, my husband had kidney removed 2 years ago and 12 months ago had SABRE radiation on his spine for a lymph node. 12 months on and we have nodes in his chest and lung which seem stable but two new lesions in his liver and peritoneum which have appeared quite rapidly. He’s about to start Tivozanib treatment which obviously can have side effects. How did you and loved one manage side effects?
cutting a long story short he was in hospital for three weeks in June with a totally non related spine infection- discitis which he’s struggling to clear and still in a lot of pain with and still struggling with energy levels, after 4 months off work he’s just returned and this helped his mental health, now the c has raised it’s head again I’m worried about how he will cope. He can’t have the immunotherapy at the moment because of the spine infection as it may cause that to reignite. Thanks Exhausted wife x

  • Hi

I'm not a member of this group but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.

I've done a search in the group looking for previous posts which mention tivozanib and found these for you to have a look through.

I hope your husband doesn't suffer from side effects and that his treatment goes well.

  • I've not had tivo but I was just about to do what Latchbrrok has done and share a search across the forum for tivo as it's used in other cancers too.  I want to send you a <hug> as well as an see you're impacted by all this as well.
