I've just had two cyscopathy's and now I have to go under anesthetic for another. I've lots of red patches and I can't wee, low flow and blood regularly. I've got 2 kidneys but one functioning both full of kidney stones and 1 not working as a calculi kidney stone. I'm in on the 28th and the the 9th off Jan in theatre. I summing they're ruling out cancer with the patches would would u in my position want ur kidney out if u was me. I'm 42 yrs old 5 kids 3 with autism. Twins being 2 off them. 3 Yr old toddlers and I've already had urgent spinal cord surgery due to cervical myelopathy and waking up paralysed ( I'm doing better now, I jump back quick so do I do it whilst I can heal quick ?
Hi Twinny Bob 1
I can't help with your questions, as I didn't have these procedures, but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.
Wishing you all the best
Hello and welcome to our group….gosh it sounds as though you have been through a lot and have a lot of responsibilities at home too. I was happy to have my kidney removed as I had a confirmed diagnosis of cancer. Once you find out whether yours is cancer ,maybe it will be easier for you to make the decision. I would ask the surgeon what are the advantages and disadvantages.
wishing you all the best Jules x
