Pre op assessment

Hi Gosh 

I'm not a member of this group but just wanted to wish you all the best for your upcoming appointments and surgery. I'm sure the group members will do their best to answer any questions you have and to share their experiences with you.

Can I echo what Latchbrook has said and wish you all the very best for your appointments and investigations. We all know what a worrying time this is and the uncertainty can often be the worst to deal with. Take care and let us know how you get on.

Big thank you latchbrook  and Jules for your kind words. Another rollercoaster of a day! So unfortunately the surgeon was unable to remove the polyp again, so took another biopsy and said it would have to be removed by TEMS. I asked him if I should be worried, in other words, is it malignant and he said no I shouldn't worry. Whilst I was getting my big pants on the kidney surgeons secretary called and asked me if I could take a cancellation, in the morning! Have to say it threw me completely as I was just about to be sedated. I explained where I was and the circumstances and we agreed it was probably not wise. As it turns out I had a terrible headache and am a little sore where he attempted to remove the polyp so with hindsight was probably the best decision. His secretary rang me back last night and said it would likely be within the month. I was a bit deflated that it wasn't removed but I've dusted myself down and I'm feeling positive about it all again x
