My son had his initial consultation today. They said that they need to bring his biopsy forward from 29th November to next week but there is no availability.
He has a head scan for next week and they're still trying to sort out PET scans.
In the meantime his symptoms are worsening. He's getting headaches and had one night sweat.
So his concern - and mine - is, if the cancer is spreading whilst he awaits all the tests and yhen treatment, is treatment still as effective?
OK. Thanks Thehighlander . I'm really scared atm. It's advancing so quickly. I'm genuinely scared for his life.
To put that in some context, his Grandad was admitted to hospital with suspected cancer. 11 days later he was diagnosed with aggressive pancreatic cancer. He died 4 days later on Christmas day. I know pancreatic cancer is very different but perhaps you can see why I'm in this head space.
Yes Maze50 I think most families will have stories just like his grandads……. but as you say, this is lymphoma……. and does not react like most other cancers.
Let’s look for things to move forward in a positive way on Thursday.
Have a look at this link Questions to ask your medical team about Lymphoma and start a list of your top questions to be asked on Thursday….. and don’t be fobbed off - sit until you get clear understandable answers ((Hugs))
