Hi Everyone, just thought I'd post a positive vibe for once!
After the anxiety of my Pet CT scan Monday (results 3rd April) , I had my Oncology Dentist assessment today .
Had an all clear and discharged ,she was very happy with everything and nothing of concern.!! Put my mind at rest about the sensations I'm getting in my mouth and throat , normal for 13 weeks post treatment.
Just trying to sort this horrible nausea out now , my CNS is sending me a prescription for some anti emetic tablets ,hopefully that will do the trick and help my appetite!
Thanks Mark

You are literally a few weeks in front of everything my husband is now going through!
He has his dental assessment post treatment tomorrow.
He doesn't have his scan until some time beginning April and actually thinking about it we need to ring to get that as we haven't had anything
Anyway - Paul has been feeling exactly the same with incredibly awful nausea which stopped him eating anything for two weeks and about a week ago the ENT Head and Nexk team (amazing team) saw us and they have him on two anti sickness meds now with Metloclopomide (can't spell it lol) Ondanzitron and it's been amazing for him! A few days later he wanted to start eating again and tried an Ensure Plus Fobre in his RIGG bit that then brought on horrific acid reflux and he had to then go onto Gaviscon extra on top of his lanzoproazole! It's a never ending cycle of meds every week it feels lol - we have half a pharmacy in our kitchen
Hes now hungry and wants to eat and he's actually doing so well!! I am beyond over the mood with his ability to eat . He still has no saliva but he can actually taste things - still hit and miss but he's getting there.
Next step is the MRI and the wait for the results to see if it brings up a false positive and we have to wait another 3 months etc
xx
Hi there,
Try not to worry too much about scan, I know it's tough but it doesn't influence the result just makes us so anxious!
My CNS has prescribed me the metlocop stuff ,but dietician says stop the supplement feeds for a couple of days first to see if it them that's causing it. But the RT causes nausea for a while after treatment. I'll see how I go .
Hope he has a good dental appointment and everything ok ,please let us know .
I've got to try and eat more now .which is hard without appetite, but will try
Mark
