  • Thank you   ! I hope you're well Dani

  • Well done Hazel & Crofterlad!

I seriously regret that l did not make more of the fact that not all of the girls in my school took the opportunity to have the vaccine. ( I am a retired secondary principal ). During my tenure it was only offered to girls but is now offered to everyone. If only l had known then, what l know now…

  • Hi Woody. Thank you. Was good to meet up with Anson to make the video.

Just make sure everyine with children ir grandchildren know the benefits .Prevention is better than curing cancer .The vaccine wasn’t around  when we were teenagers all we can do is try and make sure people know.

  • We are already seeing the benefits to girls. The incidence of cervical cancer in young women in their twenties ( which incidentally can be quite aggressive …. Remember Jade Goody who was 27 when she died) has plummeted.
Overall there are more cases of HNC than of cervical  now.
It will take much longer before our cancers benefit.

  • Hi Hazel

Just watched the video. It was great to hear your voice and what a worthwhile message to get over to everyone. I must check with my girls that they are all vaccinated. (and boys too)

You could start a new career in show business.

    Love

Hi Lyn. The forum has been updated and there seems to be a delay sometimes. If it happens again just refresh the page and you should see it there

  • Following my diagnosis a couple of weeks ago my son is having his vaccine later today ( he's 17) as the programme didn't cover girls at that point. I didn't even know that boys could have the vaccine until I started doing the research following my diagnosis. There seems to be a gap in boys aged 17-25 and definately more information needs to be given out for that age group.

  • Hi yes there is va disparity and in conjunction with nhs vaccine programme snd several cancer charity organisations it’s being looked at.
Original thoughts were there’s enough girls would’ve been vaccinated. That would’ve protected the boys as well. It now seems that that isn’t the case if I hear anything I will pop it on there and let you know in the meantime.

Unfortunately people have got boys in that age group they are paying for the Gardisil vaccine if they want boys covering I agree it’s unfair.
Boys only been held with vaccinated since September 2018. Our grandson was vaccinated at the end of January so at least we get a start

but there’s a lot of bars not being vaccinated. The latest figures are on 52% took the vaccine In 2022
