Yup last year , used insure with , cost me £170 for week for family to Portugal . That was 6 months post treatment . If you search this forum there’s a full thread about holiday insurance
Post surgery Nationwide, through my bank account, insured me for normal travel excluding anything cancer related. I was comfortable with that as there was almost nothing cancer related that would mean I could not return normally to the UK - so the risk to me was minimal. Everyone has a different risk appetite, but I think the insurance companies prey on cancer survivors to line their coffers unnecessarily. Clearly there are always some survivors who have elevated risks and my approach would not be appropriate. It will be interesting to see Nationwide's view once I am safely post CRT
