T2N1M0 tonsil cancer...Finished CRT June 2023
Suffered slightly with white finger syndrome in the past.....this winter white finger syndrome has escalated to the point where I sometimes have difficulty fastening buttons...have resorted to buying hand warmers....Anyone else have this issue after chemo?
Peter
Yes I did for the first winter , now it’s just slightly annoying when it’s cold I wore gloves most of yesterday as we had seriously low temperatures. I too had cisplatin but in normal winters days I’m ok. Toes were very cold yesterday as well normally they are not too bad.

Hazel, can I ask what is white finger syndrome ? This is strange timing to say the least , last few days the tips of my fingers been tingling like I had just scraped snow away ? I too had cisplaten chemo ,
There’s something called raynauds I don’t have tgst my fingers don't go white they are just very cold especially ehrn weathers as cold as it has been. Is it cisplatin or just age who knows My first winter after treatment I was very cold fingers snd toes . The joys Msybe moving snow it would have happened anyway Yoh can ask your gp if you’ve raynauds like I said I don’t get white fingers.

Hi Hazel
I would be one of those wearing gloves too although I don't have white finger. I'm not surprised that you and others have cold hands and feet with the temps you have been having. I am one of those that feels the cold dreadfully and it has definitely got worse as I get older. I was recently in Tasmania for a holiday and I put my thermals on when it was 19 degrees. I know I would not survive in England I'm too soft.
