Had mask fitting, CT scan and met dietician.. given start date for radiation which starts after chemo session, but still waiting on chemo meeting and start time... also waiting for a date for bloods and peg fitting.. so, pretty much a mixed bag ATM.. but things are looking up at last.. oh, and given a prescription for Caphosol, a big box of Fortisip and a large bottle of Epimax cream.
Enjoy Christmas and new year. Xx

I didn’t get a bell.
My oncologist looked down his nose and said, it’s very American, isn’t it?

Almost spooky! My teatment started on 13th Jan...ten years ago
First chemo was 14th, good grief the time flies! On the bright side I'm still very much alive and kicking, on the down side I'm a decade older.
Very best of luck with it, will shoot by once you get going (I got a tattoo but no bell, same as Dani...but I think I'd have felt a little foolish ringing one anyway so no worries).
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.
Hi Loz. Today I was told my treatment will start on the 8th. Considerably earlier than I was told on Tuesday. Had the mask fitted today. Like you no tattoo. Really miffed that I don't have bragging rights. Maybe a biro could be put to good use
