Hi, hope you don’t miss but thought I would update my journey, after what seemed ages I have now been booked in for a radical neck dissection this Monday. Although I only waited 4 weeks for operation as said in last post the waiting game is the worst.
Obviously I have no idea how it will affect me I have read numerous posts and think I know what to expect or not!
I have been told that I will also need radiotherapy which came as a bit of a shock, which again looks like it will start just before Christmas, (last years Christmas was not great as had tongue lasered in November and was still suffering from the effects of that) so not looking forward to whatever radiotherapy throws my way.
Hi Jellyshoes good luck for your surgery. It’s a shame you have to have RT but it’s doable and there are plenty of people to help you through
