Steve: Tonsil Cancer HPV16. Discharged 14 March. Now on regular checks.

Well, I finished my treatment on the 20 January, and I was discharged on the 14 March. Since then I have been on follow up appointments. A few weeks ago the consultant didn't see anything untoward, and life is returning to normal. Outside of the ubiquitous dry mouth everything appears to be healing.

Today, however, is my first follow-up MRI scan. I'm being sent to a new hospital that I don't know, and the dreaded contrast needle. The rational part of me says this is a routine process, and it is unlikely to return. The devil on my other shoulder, however, is causing anxiety.
