i have just finished 30 sessions of radiotherapy for adenocarcinoma, which I had a neck dissection and lymph node removal, the mask was strange as I am slightly claustrophobic, ( I have my mask on the wall of my summerhouse now),but being in the radiotherapy room was fine and soon got used to being there 5 days a week, the consultant prescribed me some mild sedative but I only used them on the first two occasions as they made me feel zonked later in the day. Good luck with the treatment it’s fine and I was quite relaxed as time went on.

Hi, there's a local cancer charity near me that offers a free service to drive local patients to their daily radiotherapy appointments for the duration of treatment. No good to you as I'm in Wales, but maybe you could find a similar service in your area?
All the best with your treatment
we are lucky here in south wales as we have Velindre cancer hospital which has a dedicated car park for radiotherapy patients,
And it’s free
Mind you… at the rate the Welsh NHS manages to treat its cancer patients ……..
