Hi.

I am on the two week pathway having had a painful throat for 2 months now. My appointment is in 11 days and I'm just not coping with the anxiety and pain. I can't sleep I can't stop fearing the worst and I'm petrified of any investigations let alone any treatment. I had a very traumatic experience 20 + years ago when a nasal tube was inserted and the thought of having anything like that again without being knocked out is terrifying. What do people do to cope with their anxiety?

Hi Try gargling with soluble asprin. Or good old salt and baking powder.

It's impossible to sleep in hospital unless you have a room to yourself and even then it's too light to sleep. I hope you have been in less pain today Caroline and manage to get some rest xx

im still in hospital, lots of ups and downs mainly eating

luckily Iv had my daughter here to help me

Am same as you, from start to panendscopy wait was 4 months now I've got a 8 week wait now for my biospy results, trying to keep positive.

I had my biopsy results and they came back as nothing sinister. I still have a sore throat after 4 months and I'm waiting to see the specialist again. Thanks everyone for your support when I needed it x
