Hi just want to ask a few questions. I went to my doctor for something else then asked him to look at my throat as i have White patches All over the back of it. Hé wrote something on his computer and then said wants me to go to Hospital within the next two weeks. So i am really worried now it is throat cancer and its bad as because of being rushed. I know there are people who do go on to be cured and i know i am worrying before i Find out what the diagnoses is but cant help it. I have already had a lobectomy on my left lung due to lung cancer, i am happy to say have had my 5 years all Clear thats why the worry now do not need it I am 72
I think for a start your GP needs to tell you what he is referring you for. The fact that you’ve had lung cancer doesn’t mean you’ll get it elsewhere, but he’s left you in limbo and in great distress which isn’t fair. The other thing to consider is most cases referred on the cancer pathway are not cancer. Best wishes
