Hi everyone thanks for the posts etc. After 8 plus months have the all clear dry mouth really getting better, taste also general health to.I had 2 chemotherapy and 30 radiotherapy, chest infection urine infection blood transfusion and last 2 weeks of treatment in beatson cancer hospital glasgow in January in lockdown. So please have believe and be patient We can all do this thanks again for supporting me
Thank that has made me feel better, i thought i was never going to enjoy food again, im living on soup, yoghurts, bananas etc
Hi it’s early days for you I’m 3 years almost post radiotherapy for tonsil cancer with several affected lymph nodes and living my life almost back tk normal spicy and acidic foods are difficult for me.
dry mouth does improve over time. I still use 1/2 an xyimelt st night which I’ve used from the end of treatment you buy online.

Did you have a feeding tub I never was determined I wasn't 1 less thing to do I lived on water and supplement drinks I am still on 2 now to keep my weight But can eat most things day bread is stilla problem pasta is tasteless. You can try poached egg porridge and custard also try to suck some melon it's refreshing
Yes i have feeding tube and supplement drinks, im on 3 drinks down from 6 now, i just drink them so dont use the tube now, thanks for the advice
Thanks for the info, the tumour on my tongue was 6cm, ive just had my mri scan, get resulrs in 2 weeks

My taste buds only started to recover around the 5 months mark... now 30 months later in essentially back to normal... it's a slow process..but when it improves... it's really fast.

Hi Chicotime I am six months in and my taste buds are still a bit shot. Water does not taste great and some paste just does not hit the spot yet . I suppose time will tell if taste will improve. I dont know if I will ever get on the vindaloos again . All the Best Regards Minmax
