Thank you for your reply, his dementia affects his behaviour so when I was told what he would have to have done, I was adamant he wouldn’t be able to cope with it, but he proved me wrong so fingers crossed he copes with his sessions

Try not to dwell on the side effects too much. Six sessions will not impact very much. Next time you talk to your husbands oncologist ask how much radiation he is getting because that’s what causes the damage. Curative RT belts out between 65 to 70 Grays 

Hi Maxine. I too took my own c d compilation in. In your hubby’s case it may help him having maybe familiar music played. Am sure they will accommodate as much as they can. My hubby on last session was allowed in with me to watch them fasten me down. He couldn’t stay fir the zapping but ask it may help your hubby if you can go in until machine starts.
