Hi All,
I had a swallow test and they found that in my food pipe between the back of my throat and the voice valve I have weakness and the food and drink is staying there not progressing down just relying on gravity as the muscles aren't strong enough to fill the gap. It's a joint thing the Consultant has said the operation for the laryngectomy and the radiotherapy for the OS Cancer.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had the the 'Katy Price ' treatment as it's now described I've been advised that if it's doable and is okay then it will have to be renewed approximately every 3 months, anything to get rid of my 'wet' bubbly voice after a drink.
Thanks,
Tony
Hi Tony. I didn’t know about this procedure so had to look it up. Seems like it’s worth trying
If you do go ahead let us know how it goes.

Base of tongue cancer. T2N0M0 6 weeks Radiotherapy finished January 2019
Im with Dani, although i have heard botox being used for lips and gums as it was suggested for me to bulk up my lower lip but my consultant never went ahead not sure why. I think nowadays botox treatment has become more acceptable, its always worth a try as you have nothing to lose. All the best.
Chris
Hi Chris, Thanks for the interest I have also thanks Dani and put a bit more in there

Tony
