Hi everyone week 1, day 3 and I got called for a blood pressure check after treatment and my normally perfect blood pressure has gone sky high! Anyone else had this issue? It’s come down a bit since I got home but it’s still unusually high.
regards
Jane
If they are not worried abut it then you should not worry. You are under a lot of stress and that, along with "white coat syndrome", can cause your BP to be elevated. Mine was off the chart on occasions but they knew it was stress related and nothing to worry about. Once treatment had finished and I had a clear PET scan it was back to acceptable levels.
Hi Jane has Peter says stress won’t be helping I was on b p meds and I can’t recall my bp being taken during treatment. But do remember it dropping quite low when treatment finished. I’m on one 5 mg tablet a day and just continued tk take it. Try to relax easy to say hard to do white coat syndrome in hospital won’t have helped.
