Hi they brought my biopsy forward to tommrow only becauee a man had to stop meds week before so we swapped i am absolutely petrified told this to the consultants secretary snd she said oh dont worry you will be fine i dont have any red flags and i am still confused about the assmetry /cyst but i guess after tommrow we just wait but it doant stop me worrying ,/the consultant and his secretary seem to think everyrhing will be ok .
I do hope so x
Best of luck for tomorrow. Generally find consultants wouldn't say they think things will be OK if they have doubts in their mind about it, so I'd take a lot of comfort from that.
In my own scenario I didn't even know I was going in for a biopsy. Was only going in because I'd been spitting up some blood and had discovered a lump in my neck - think it was only the fact I was so overweight at the time that I hadn't noticed it !
Far from telling me they thought I was OK, the consultant at the hospital was very upfront, wanted me to get biopsy done on my tonsils there and then - a very bizarre experience basically sitting up on an office chair and watching her go in with the equipment! - and she told me there and then there was a very good chance it was cancer. Sadly she was correct.
The procedure itself wasn't particularly painful but it will absolutely be worth it to give you some peace of mind when it hopefully proves the consultant's initial thoughts turn out to be correct.
Thank you for that it has made me feel a little better he kept saying when i for upset donot worry it dosnt look suspicious i guess they have a rought idea when they go in with the camera
That's great that it has been brought forward - hopefully it will put your mind at rest sooner. Good luck!
