My ent wrote a report after telling me it was a cyst and didnt look suspiciois on the report it says slight aysmetrical on the tongue is this always càncer , ive to have a mro and a biopsy , i am absolutely petrified about the outcome as i dont really have much support and not sure how i will cope .
I think the chances of it being a cancer having had the ENT first look are relatively low. Our ENT doctors are good at recognising cancers, but need the results of the scientific tests to be 100% sure - hence the MRI and biopsy.
Try not to worry over Christmas - easy said and hard done!
Hi again.
Your ENT is being thorough, as he should be. Try not to second guess the result, as I said in your other thread, 90% of referrals are not cancer.
So get on with the madness of Christmas. Have you any plans? .

Thank you i am very highly stressed so then j get awful fatigue and other symptoms and get me thinking i do have cancer but i think that is just my mental health which im trying to get a grip on im not a persom that just goes with the flow i get very anxious and this is all petrying me to the extent if i got a cancer doagnosis im not sure how i would cope xxx seeing it say sligh assymetrical tongue has freaked me out a lot.and dont really have a lot of support at home they just keep saying it will be ok
Thanks for listening
they just keep saying it will be ok
It’s because they don’t know what else to say. I guess if you are an anxious person it’s not hard to wear others out. My daughter has a health anxiety. She is 40 and I still spend hours on the phone trying to talk her down. I don’t mind, I’m her mother. I’m sure if anything serious emerges your family will rally round.
