Hi, hoping someone can help me please. I was recently diagnosed with a 5.2cm lesion on my medistinum and a 1cm lesion on my right lung, however I also have a large, hard lump on my neck (right side) and have been told that it is a malignant lump of unknown origin. I have a meeting with a clinical team on Wednesday regarding treatments etc but wondered if anyone else has ever been diagnosed with the Malignancy of unknown origin cancer and how it went. Thank you.
Hi Allipally
There is a separate forum for cancer of unknown primary. You might get better support there

Have you any pathology results for that lump on your neck? Head and neck cancer is usually squamous cell carcinoma.
Best wishes

Hi Allipally
I was CUP for some time before they finally found a primary. In H&N cancers it is not unheard of to not know where the primary is. I waited 4 years before they were able to deal with my primary. Last week I had my scan results and all is clear.
I was of the CUP forum but there was little going on so no longer check on it. Maybe it has picked up a bit since then.
