Hi I decided to go build a new support framework in the greenhouse Had to stop went so light headed. Had ltr drink and two fortisips. And a sleep feel fine now. Very strange. Wife says I’m not eating enough.
I'm amazed you can do anything so soon after finishing treatment! Well done. Sounds like you might just have overdone it a bit. Glad you're OK now. Have you lost much weight?

Soup is good
A soup maker is a great idea also. I didn't have one during my cancer treatment but I had dietry problems end of last year/beginning of this, for another issue, that I had a dietician for again. She suggested I get one and it's been brilliant, also cuts out the large amount of salt there often is in pre-made ones.
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.

Hi Paul
Congratulations on getting out in the garden and working on your greenhouse project. You will just have to pace yourself a bit and not try and do too much at once. You will get it done in the end.
After my surgeries and radiotherapy I started to get quite a few incidents of low blood pressure when bending down which makes me fill a bit dizzy. It has improved over time I still get that way at times. Sounds as though that is what you are having too. In between my blood pressure is fine and the doctor is quite happy with it. I just have to be a bit careful and make sure that I don't stand up too fast and that when I am bending down I am aware. It gets worse if I am a bit dehydrated. Drink plenty of fluid and pace yourself. I got a whole section re landscaped in my garden just recently by doing a small bit every day. It all got finished in the end and looks great.I have just changed my approach.
Best wishes for your ongoing recovery.
Lyn
P.S. like the others I make my own soup as you can get a much greater variety and it does taste much nicer. I do use bought stock as the base though. Couldn't bear spending hours making stock from scratch.
