(tongue cancer - partial glossectomy, no flap, 9 weeks ago)
I know tongue tingling is really a good thing as it is nerves regenerating etc, but OMG mine is tingling so much it is driving me crazy! Have noticed it increasing for the last 2 or 3 weeks, but it;s been really bad for about 3 days now.
It is distracting me all the time, and actually the tingling/prickling is at times quite painful.
Anyone got any good tips for calming it down?
Hi tee777. My tongue tingling (burning tongue syndrome) was awful it drove me mad too. My nurse advised me to use mouthwash , also advised me to keep my tongue clean. I am in my 3rd year of recovery and still have it, but to a much lesser degree. I seem to notice it more when I’m tired. In the early days , I knew it was the nerves repairing and the pregabalin helped, but it seemed never ending. I make sure I use a tongue scraper and keep my mouth as clean as possible. It does get better
