I usually see my surgeon every 13 weeks and have MRI and CT scans also . I have been told by surgeon that there is nothing he can do surgery wise if the cancer comes back. I have to see him on Friday as usual but it says face to face Urgent. This is a bit of a concern and I have spoken to H & N nurse who I am waiting to hear back from . I am seeing Oncologist on same day and it says face to face Routine. Obviously I would like to think the best but it is nerve racking
I wish they would get their act together. It’s worrying. Hope it’s routine. Perhaps somebody has put urgent so that you actually get a F2F
Hi Min like Dani says hopefully it’s there as a means of seeing him as opposed to a phone call Hugs and we’re with you all the way.

Hazel aka RadioactiveRaz 35 radiotherapy and 2 chemo 3 rd cancelled. HPV tonsil cancer 7 lymph nodes. 8 years post treatment living a great life.
No questions too daft to ask.
That is confusing and worrying for you Minmax. I should think it's just the way appointments are categorised on MyChart? I find it a bit random. I have review appts with both surgeon and oncologist even tho I've never had surgery. Hopefully your team can clarify soon. Good luck

PS might you put some background info in your profile? That way you can get better-informed replies
September 2022 aged 63 diagnosed with HPV associated SCC base of tongue T4 N2 M0. Chemo & radiotherapy for 6 weeks ending Nov 2022. Now over 3 years all clear. See my profile for longer story
Confusing is putting it mildly and why put Urgent for a surgeon that has removed everything he can , Unless he is planning on doing another neck dissection on the other side or removing the large tumour on my liver. Other people are going to have to deal with the same. You wouldn't mind but I got a call confirming my Oncologist appointment this morning. It was only looking at the My Chart App that I saw Urgent , Hey ho its all out of my hands anyway .Thanks all
