Hi,
I'm 12 weeks post treatment now and have routine dentist appointment on the 12th of Jan.I can open my mouth wide enough for check up but not sure I fancy him poking about as still pretty sore.Just wondered if folk gave dentist a wide berth for awhile after treatment ?
Thanks,
Turi
Hi Turi
I finished treatment in June.... still awaiting advice from oncology concerning dental check ups....oncology are supposed to arrange an appointment with local dental hospital, my own dentist has not sent out any appointments post treatment....I am assuming dental hospital is liaising with him.
Peter
Thanks Peter,
I'll contact my nurse and run it past her,
Turi

I saw my own dentist around 12 weeks. I bessked him to be gentle and he was As far as I’m aware with my trust at least there are no routine dental hospital check ups post treatment unless there is a problem

Hi Turi my dentist was pleased to see me at the 12 weeks stage. I see her every 3 months the first year she was very gentle with me. I never got checks from hospital dentist after initial check up at diagnosis period.
After around 6-9 month I started with fluoride varnish and touch wood I’ve not needed anything doing.
you’ll be fine
