Hi all,
I hope you are well. My mum has recently finished radiotherapy for her neck cancer. In the last few days she’s had some ulcers / wounds come up on her hands . They are quite bad and on both hands. They look like an open infected wound. Has anybody ever had this? I do have picture but they are not pretty and I’m not sure whether appropriate to post. Thanks Christina .
Hi Christina. No dont put a picture up.
I’ve never heard of this. It doesn’t sound d like anything to do with the treatment or the cancer so I would get her to her GP.
I hope you get help quickly for her. It’s bad enough getting through the treatment

Base of tongue cancer. T2N0M0 6 weeks Radiotherapy finished January 2019
I had sore and broken skin on my neck but nothing on my hands. Ring the Dr. Sorry to hear about this - I'm sure she's got enough to deal with already! She's lucky to have you looking after her. I know it's hard for you too - be kind to yourself
Rupert’s mum
Good evening ChrissieRav, as Dani and Rupertsmum have said, get your mum an appointment with her GP as this is a separate issue and not a side effect from the radiotherapy as far as i know. Wishing you and your mum all the best, take care.
