Throat infection after all clear

Hi he should be seeing his consultant regularly every 6 weeks or so. We do get other illnesses as well but maybe a call to his cancer nurse or consultant s medical secretary id what I would do.

Yes. Give his CNS a ring to bring his next appointment forward  

He should  still be under frequent review 

He is still very early in his recovery. It’s likely nothing serious but best checked. 
We do get thrush badly in our throats sometimes soon after treatment end so that’s worth checking for too

How is he this morning? 

Post Chemo and Radiotherapy....Had oral thrush 3 times during the past 6 month ...not very pleasant...can be painful.

Hi Beesuit, thanks for your advice. He is a bit better but face is swollen. The swelling is opposite side to his cancer but also just realised he had ears sryinged last week so maybe that has caused it.

Radiotherapy can cause glue ear and chemotherapy can cause hearing problems. Make sure his GP is actually treating the right thing
