Hi
I really want to dye my hair, so not impressed with the few inches of grey I have going on, haven't shown this much grey since I was in my 20s hahaha
I didn't get a chance to have it coloured before treatment started as surgery was done so quickly and when I was told I needed chemoradiotherapy it was the last thing on my mind but now it has got to go hahaha. I only had 2/6 Cisplatin treatments so finished on 10th Aug and radiotherapy mid September. My hair is still falling out not sure if it's from chemo or radiotherapy now though!
What do you think?

I would wait till you are six months post treatment and your new hair growth is healthy.

Hi My hairdresser wouldn’t do my highlights until I was 6 month’s clear of radiotherapy and chemo. She said it was better to get the crescent shape that I lost to be allowed to grow. My hair didn’t fall out once treatment had finished it started to grow quite quickly but I had just above shoulder hair and you couldn’t see the underneath bit. 3 month into recovery is went shorter as my hair was loosing condition a good cut did it the world of good got rid if the rats tails look

Thanks Hazel, mine is starting to look like rat tails too as it was quite fine before this started so I might get it cut for now.
Hi Dee A good cut really helped my hair I went for an ear length Bob made me feel better as well. A girl needs a boost every now and then. Just do it.

Hi, I went to some lengths to get a definitive answer about colouring hair. I too had 2/6 Cisplatin so thought maybe I could hit the salon sooner. Alas, I was told to still wait the 6 months for the date of last chemo treatment. My hair had also thinned at the top of my neck from RT. I have quite long hair but opted to go a few inches shorter to try and get it into better condition. When I last saw my hairdresser she was pleased to report that I have new hair growth. I will be having my colour done at the end of Jan. Luckily I was already colouring my hair in a way that allowed my natural grey to blend in so although I’m very grey now it’s not too hideous
