Hi All
I hope everyone is as good as you can be & I am sorry if these questions seem ridiculous or trite as so many people on this site have many larger problems.
Firstly good news & hope for anyone else going through this presently: having finished my treatments (35 radio & 7 chemo for stage 3 tongue, throat, tonsils & lymph nodes) I have just got the all clear - I have a very happy wife!
My saliva is (& by the sounds of it probably will always be) at best minimal - now this is weird . . . . any advice on kissing? My mouth seems a pretty disgusting place since treatment & I was wondering how you guys get on? (not to much salacious detail please)
I have asked this before but I am really missing food & whilst I have either had a small uptick in what I can eat (or I am going for the easy options) will I ever get back to normal? (I know everyone's experience is different)
If yes - what sort of time scale
If no - how good can I expect
Stay strong everyone x
any advice on kissing?
Lips only for me.
If you want to be more adventurous I might suggest brushing your teeth followed by a good mouthful of BioXtra would be a good thing but if course that takes away all spontaneity. Such is life….. sigh.

Not completely but pretty good
By a year I was enjoying most food. Improvements continue even up to five.

Hi Great post it’s real life. As Dani say quick swish with bioxtra works wonder I sometime used to have my chewing gum in so we shared that as well lol. It does improve you’re at the driest point for next few months gradually it gets better I had auric acupuncture which I believe kick started my saliva. I had to pay private for that.
. Now at 5 years I can go all day without saying my mouth is dry. I was like a broken record with “my mouth is dry “ I can relate to you I never thought my mouth would feel like my mouth but is does ok I’m 5 years but life goes on. Food again you will enjoy food again I tend to say it’s a marathon not sprint you can’t rush any stage your body will tell you.
well done on results .Instillmremeber mine we didn’t speak in car on way home think we were both in a well what happens now stage.
Hugs Hazel xx
