I saw the chest consultant today further to 13-week PET scan. He clarified the PET showed activity on some lymph nodes in the chest (mediastinal). These are subcentimetre which I understand to mean not enlarged.
He said there were a range of possible causes including common cold but given history of cancer this year they have to consider that as a real possibility. I know I felt rough in the run up to the scan but at the time assumed it was recovery from RT. Hopefully I had an infection and that’s what got me here.
So ebus / bronchoscope on Friday with follow-up asap after.
thanks again to those who replied to my earlier posts last week.
