Having had surgery twice, the first in 2021 and the last one in April this year which was a Fibular Free Flap Mandibulectomy, after local recurrence. The latest surgery did not remove all the cancer, I have now been told that there is nothing more that the NHS can offer. My cancer is staged as : pT4a N0 (0/8) V0 Pn1 R1 (further anterior and buccal margins). I had a second opinion from Christies in Manchester (UK) rated as one of the best cancer hospitals in the UK and they had no trials or anything to offer.
I think its time to start looking outside the conventional medical world and see what else is on offer.
Obviously I have been researching things like CBD oil and Essiac, but would really value any feedback on these or other products available. I am sure I am not the first to be given the "nothing more we can do" message, so I can hopefully lean for your experiences.
Hi Brian sorry to hear your news so sad. Have you been in touch with the royal Marsden Professor Vin Paleri is doing pioneering work in head and neck reoccurrence s a few in here have been seen and helped. There they have a dedicated unit ti head and neck reoccurrences. As for cbd oil sorry I’ve no experience

Hi Brian. Please try the Marsden. I was treated there by Prof Nutting. Hazel is right, it is a dedicated centre for head snd neck cancer recurrence. Lizzie x
I did enquire about CBD and other alternatives. I did try one oil but it really didn't agree with me, which was unfortunate as it was supposed to be good for cancer. I couldn't afford the others as i would need a really strong one to make any difference.
Also just to say, join the 'Living with Incurable Cancer forum. It's stricktly for people like us with incurable and terminal cancer. They're a lovely bunch of people, they maybe able to help.
