Mouth and jaw cancer

This is a tough time for you. Please have confidence in your team as they are very experienced and will know exactly what to do to help beat the cancer. The waiting is the worst but when you have the date for your op things will start to go very quickly.

I   had jaw cancer and have had 3 major ops over the last 10 years and have had my upper jaw and one side of my lower jaw removed plus radiotherapy. It is a tough time but I am still here because of my wonderful team. It takes a while to get over the ops but there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel. I am back to enjoying my life and very grateful for another chance at life.

You will get there too once you have got over this hurdle.

Hi Tiadora, sorry didn’t reply to your earlier post to me, technology letting me down lately! You will soon be getting your surgery date, in the meantime try to focus on keeping as fit as you can, it does help on recovery, plenty of fresh air and a daily walk, keep busy to take your mind away from the op and the pain you are experiencing. Pointless to say don’t worry. Thinking of you.
