Starting proton therapy and covid

I am seeing my proton radiologist 1st time Monday. Almost 8 weeks after jaw,  free flap operation and lymph involvement.

Girlfriend has contracted covid and isn't really taking any precautions. Will also be in car on way to 1st meeting for 3 hours.

Anyone have experience? If I catch covid will they refuse treatment?

Many thanks

  • Don’t know about proton but during the pandemic if you were getting IMRT and you had covid they just put you down for the last treatment of the day. Phone up and ask?

  • Ah…..PS

i note from your other posts that you are not in the U.K. so I think any decision must come from your radiologist.
    Best wishes.
