Hi All end of week 7 post treatment but the mucus is as bad as ever . Not the horrible colour of the early days but constant and almost full time clearing from throat and going through kitchen towels like mad. Does it ever stop ?

  • Hi Alan. Yes it does stop. Mine stopped in a couple of days when it did finally dry up. I used to keep a kitchen roll and a large paper bag by the bed. I spat in the night and everything went into the Rayburn in the morning. Through the day I just took the kitchen roll with me. I knew it would happen so just went with the flow.
Diet cola and diet ginger ale did loosen it a lot.

  • Hi Alan I had a nebuliser which helped a bit. It does go often replaced with the dreaded dry mouth. I was also prescribed carbusistine to try to thin  the mucus down.
Hang on in there it does go I also used soda water to drill round my mouth. Let it go a bit flat of the bubbles hurt.
