It's great to read everyone's comments on this forum. So much great advice. I'm nervous as I'm just about to start my treatment plan with an operation to remove my nose. Still sounds incredible to say that out loud. But I know it's the right thing to do. Then follow through with 6 weeks of chemradio therapy. Nervous about the opp which is this Friday. What foods would be best when I get home. Many thanks x

  • Hi Ellie

Do you have a dietitian you can ask amoungst your team ? If not request to see one when you're admitted, i'm sure they will get you one.

I am only guessing here, but i'd imagine it would be soft foods,  liquid. If it gets too painfull don't refuse an Ng feeding tube if you're offered one, they take a bit of getting used to, but they can be a godsend.

Whishing you loads of luck with your operation and treatment.

  • Hi cat, thanks for your reply. No, not at the moment, but I'm happy to ask for one. Mu daughter is making me soups which are liquidised so that's a start. Many thanks x

  • Hi

If you search in Head & Neck i've put up a thread Called Liquid Diet Ideas. My laptop is playing up at the mo, so i can't copy and past it. Some people have found it handy.
