Do you have a dietitian you can ask amoungst your team ? If not request to see one when you're admitted, i'm sure they will get you one.

I am only guessing here, but i'd imagine it would be soft foods,  liquid. If it gets too painfull don't refuse an Ng feeding tube if you're offered one, they take a bit of getting used to, but they can be a godsend.

Hi cat, thanks for your reply. No, not at the moment, but I'm happy to ask for one. Mu daughter is making me soups which are liquidised so that's a start. Many thanks x
