I'm due to start radiotherapy on Feb 27th. I've read it can cause skin sensitivity and possible blistering. I like to use cruelty free products where I can. As the radiotherapy will be on my face does anybody have any recommendations for suitable cruelty free moisturisers they have found to be ok with radiotherapy and any with a sunblock.
Thank you.
Hi. I was given Epimax to use everyday from cheekbones to collarbone. before & after radiotherapy sessions. Was told to only use the Epimax & no other facial creams etc
Post treatment I use Green people moisturiser & Altruist factor 50 suncream
Hi, my wife used to apply Aloe Vera gel to my neck after each RT session, only after not before. All the best for your treatment, if you have any questions or worries, you can ask away on here, someone will always help if they can.
Regards Ray.
Another fan of Aloe Vera straight after RT in the car in the way home.
Your team will give you Diprobase, likely. I found that too heavy so used Cetraben. Moisturise only after RT. Lots of stuff is really unsuitable under radiation so do run anything you want to use past your radiographers
And, yes. Factor 50 for ever after you’ve healed

Oh and you’ll have to look after your eyes. But you’ll get something for that too. You’ll leave with a carrier bag full of stuff.
