Just wanted to share our experience of Pembrolizumab so far...my husband has had 2 IV treatments 6 weeks apart. After the first treatment it shrunk the large tumour protruding from his neck. There is another tumour at the original site of his surgery on his face and this is still visibly growing albeit slowly and we are on week three of the second treatment. His main symptoms have been tiredness and his strength is very week. He has not recovered from the original maxillectomy surgery in terms of jaw movement and as his diet is poor he still relies on the milkshake protein drinks for nourishment. We await further scans after the next IV treatment to see what is happening inside. If I can offer any advice to anyone then please just ask everybody's cancer journey is difficult and different and I have been grateful for all your support in the past.
Hi Gingernut thank you for the update. I hope you get encouraging results on the scan. Fingers crossed for you both.
