Steve: tonsil cancer stage 2-HPV
Friday found me booked in for two radiotherapy sessions and the weekly blood test. They are closed on Boxing Day, so I had a treatment at 9, and one at 6. They kindly fixed us up in hotel accommodation, so I could rest in-between doses. At lunch, though, my partner and I had a fantastic lunch in an excellent bistro. Full on ala-carte. Why not. End of week, and I'm still OK.
I can, however, feel some changes. My treatment is a weak dose on my left side, a medium dose for my right lymph nodes, and a high dose for the cancer in my right tonsil. Last night I noticed a sensitivity on the low dose left side. Some gargling with bicarb eased it, and it's OK today. But I will monitor my mouth closely from now on.
Two doses of laxidol are enough at the moment, and I'm ensuring good nutrition. No weight loss yet. Still able to function well physically and mentally.
