Hi All,
Thought I'd share my good news as I got the all clear today!
After 35 rounds of radio and 2 out of 3 chemo, it works, it's blooming hard but you will get there... there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope this helps those going through any treatment for hpv p16+. I'm celebrating tonight with a forest fruit fortisip and some double cream! I still have some way to go re eating enough to give up the rig but the good news is welcome and will spur me on.
Keep on keeping on folks!

Good evening Shab71, what lovely news and encouraging words as so many people tend to look at the negative side as you never see comments like this on Google. Enjoy your Fortisips and cream ,wishing you all the best with your recovery and making the RIG redundant. Take care.

Congratulation's. and well-done throat. there is always hope and even for the terminally ill enjoy each day to the full like everyone ill or not you do not know if it is your last as life is not infinite
I am 71 and moved to northern France in 2011. The health service here and is Brillant and from what i have put below if i was in the Uk would not be alive now.
Unfortunately, my HPV Tumour was so huge under the base of my Tonge 32 radio, and 3 chemo only managed to shrink it by 2 thirds.
so, July 2021 as a birthday treat my brilliant ENT specialist did a major 12-hour operation and removed all but a tiny bit of tumour (which was too risky for him to remove) along with my Tonge, larynx and all the soft tissue in my throat. so, i am on chemo one day every 5 weeks for prevention and the hope is to laser the last bit in 2 years' time once my throat has healed. I am very happy and positive about the future even at the ripe old age of 71
