Hi all and firstly thanks for all you good wishes on our marriage. Our honeymoon was fab apart from constant mouth pain and issues eating due to a dental abcess. We arrived home on Friday am and were with the ENT consultant the same day. I am having a ct guided lung biopsy on Friday this week, results meeting 7th October and TORS surgery week commencing 10th October to try and find the primary.
I still have dental infection. Nothing has healed since the first round of biopsies and came away with another 2 courses of antibiotics. The consultant asked his dental colleagues to look in my mouth. He said there is ulceration from the biopsies which needs to heal before chemo radiation. All well and good.
Yesterday I examined the inside of my mouth as something sharp was hurting my tongue. I now have exposed bone or tooth roots along the inside of my jaw. I asked my husband to check too. All this considering I never had any symptoms apart from the lump in my neck. Everytime they examine my mouth something else goes wrong. I'm at my wits end and wondering if they are making things worse. My 2ww urgent referral was 17th June and still no official treatment. Sorry for the long post but I know something isn't right. Jen x

Hi Jen....they haven't got to the bottom of it yet so they can't make plan
I would get straight back to your CNS and say somebody from MaxilloFacial needs to look at this. Seems like it wasn't obvious when the hospital dentist looked at it. I doubt it's the examinations but maybe a sequel to the infection you've had. Whatever it is needs looking at.
So sorry you're being dragged through the mill here. Fingers crossed they can sort you out quickly and that the lung biopsy is clear
