Travel insurance.

Hi All, As regards to travel insurance, once we have past our 5 years after treatment, and been discharged from any more check ups. Do you still have to declare the fact that you once had cancer?

  • I think it very much depends on the insurance provider and the questions they ask.  Each will generally be different.

  • I don't know for sure but they ask about "existing medical conditions" as a rule and if you've been discharged then the condition no longer exists surely.

    But as Peter says, just answer the questions they ask honestly, while not volunteering your cancer history unless they specifically ask the question.
