My dad was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer stage 4 at the end of February, due to Covid his diagnosis was given over the telephone. He had to have a stent fitted at the beginning of April to allow feeding and has been out of hospital three weeks.
My mum and dad have still not had a face to face appointment with his oncologist and have lots of questions about prognosis and palliative treatment. Is this usual or should we be complaining
I would contact his CNS and ask what’s happening. It seems a little too long to wait for communication.
