Well done Matt, its not until you have the radiotherapy that you realise how quick and easy it is, in fact i expect fitting the mask takes longer than the treatment ,remember if it feels to tight or starts to pinch your skin then let the radiotherapist know as they will adjust and cut bits out, i had to have mine adjusted. I also had cisplatin and did not have any side effects from it just a bit boring having it done. Take it one day at a time, stay positive, all the best.

Yes thanks , bit of a headache but I think that was the worry of it all , I’m trying to forget I had it & not wait for the side effects if I can , I’m going to plod on so to speak , I’m glad you got through it too xx

Hi Aly,

Not too bad - been feeling a little bit sick but the meds have worked and I haven’t vomited. That seems a bit better this morning. My face was a bit swollen which made the mask very tight on Monday but was better yesterday. Otherwise tired but not too bad. How are you feeling? X 

Yesterday was a bad day , I thought oh no I just can’t do this for the next couple of months / year , horrific heartburn , headache & lack of appetite plus I was so tired already , my face is hot but my body was cold . I’m a bit better today taking gaviscon & my omeprazole. Did they give you anti-sickness steroids ? Xx
