I have been to two hospitals Uch and St marys Paddington where they just starved me out and did nothing. So I discharged myself. I went to a third small hospital who found out my problem by looking at my scan. I cant understand why two large hospitals couldnt find it.

My problem is pancreas cancer for which an elderly person like me has no cure. I have no pain but I vomit everything I eat and drink. Now I use the peg which does not go into the stomach but the bowels so the peg food stays in. I also find I can drink tea without vomiting it out. My doctors dont give me long.

  • Oh dear seekeepr1 sorry to hear your news  I’ve no answer as to why the other hospitals missed your diagnosis. Hope you have people around you and not in too much pain.

  • I'm so sorry to hear this Seeker1.  You have been a great contributor to this forum and offered good advice and reassured many.  I hope that whatever the cancer throws at you now, the hospital makes sure you can have a good quality of life with as little pain as possible.  You and your family are in my thoughts.

Thank you all for your good wishes it is truly appreciated. I know that I have no cure but i also have no pain. I do believe in the after life although no one has ever come back so cant be sure what it is like. Every religion is based on that and they all say something different. I think I have led a good life not just for my self but for others as well which i consider more important. I dont have any enemies and think I can expect a good after life whatever it may be.

  • Seeker,  that must be so comforting. I’m glad you have that comfort but it’s not over yet and I wish you many months ahead.
