Hi M and welcome.  I am very sorry about your Dad and his diagnosis.  Alas I can't help with your question.  I think your best bet is to speak to your CNS for a clinically based "layman's" interpretation of what is going on.  I have always found them very good, much more so that the consultant, at putting things in terms we can understand.

Hi M and welcome from me too. Sorry your Dad is ill. Are you in the UK? Here in the UK we get cancer staging on the TNM scale not on measurements of tumour 

You really need to speak to your father's support team as Peter has said. Good luck and I hope something can be sorted quickly for him
