my partner finished his treatment last July where he had 6 weeks off radiotherapy and chemotherapy, he has stage 4 , he has serve nerve damage on both his legs and doctors said that it’s quite normal for patients to get that and he offered to upped his morphine to a higher dose to help him with the pain, my partner refused , is there anything else I can do to help him, he’s getting worst by the day and I hate to see him in so much pain most days he’s can hardly put one foot in front off the other, has anyone any experience off this please, I can pysio can help and light excercise and in the pool is there anything else I can try and do.
Hi. So sorry to hear that your partner has peripheral neuropathy. It must be hard for all of you. There is a good article here on Macmillan about managing it. It says in most cases it eventually goes away or becomes tolerable at least. It’s here
